This policy explains what information the Gokul Play School website and mobile app collect, how it is used, and the choices available to you. The app is provided by Gokul Play School & Day Care for the parents and staff of the school. It is not open to the general public, and accounts are issued by the school.
Information we collect

Information about children is entered by school staff. The school obtains parental consent for photography and for holding these records as part of enrolment.
How information is used

- To respond to admission and contact enquiries from the website
We do not use your information for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Who can see what
- A parent sees only their own child's information.
- A teacher sees only the children in the class assigned to them.
- Photographs of a child are private to that child's parents and their assigned teachers. They are not public and are not posted publicly.
- School administrators can access records for school management.
Service providers
We use the following providers to run the service. They process data on our instructions only:
- Hostinger — website and database hosting
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of push notifications
Security
All data sent between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Passwords are stored in hashed form and are never readable by us. Access is restricted by role, and teachers cannot reach administrative functions.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as the child is enrolled at the school. After a child leaves, personal records are deleted except where we are required to retain attendance or financial records under applicable rules. See our Account and Data Deletion page for details.
Your rights
- Ask what information we hold about you or your child
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your account and data — see Account and Data Deletion
- Withdraw consent for photographs at any time
Write to the address below and we will respond within 30 days.
Children's privacy
The app is used by adults — parents and school staff. Children do not have accounts and do not use the app. Information about children is held on behalf of the school as part of its normal records, with parental consent.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will also be announced in the app.
